The Modern's Students Advance to National ADDY Competition

The American Advertising Federation recently announced the District 5 ADDY competition results, and four Modern students earned silver ADDY awards. Students and professionals from Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia who won a silver or gold ADDY from their local club competed in this prestigious event. Winners now advance to the national ADDY competition.  

Aryn Landes won a professional silver ADDY for her work with Jetpack, an alumni-owned web design firm, for a Black Lives Matter poster. Aryn is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Design Leadership at The Modern as a part-time student while working full-time for Jetpack.  

Josh Marruffo won a silver ADDY for his Laughing Man Coffee Company website. Josh is also pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Design Leadership at The Modern.

Kiana Lopez won a silver ADDY for her Haven app. Kiana graduated from The Modern in 2020 and currently works as a web designer for Do It Best Corporation in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Kai Denton won a silver ADDY for her myKyoto website. Kai also graduated from The Modern in 2020. She is a freelance designer and is available for employment.

"We are proud that industry leaders recognized our students amongst the greatest talent in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia," shared Jessica Barry, President of The Modern. "We look forward to the national competition in June."

The AAF National Awards Show will be held virtually on June 11, 2021.
