Downtown Dayton is looking a little brighter thanks to this year’s Whimsical Windows contest. Local businesses across the city decorated their storefronts for the community to enjoy, and the public will decide the winner. The business with the most votes will receive a $500 prize.
The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce invited four Modern students to design and paint their window. Chloe Funk, Nevaeh Oberdier, Kaitlin Vultee, and Alex Long created a bold, graphic holiday design featuring clean line work, bright color, and strong typography. Their approach brings a modern, energetic feel to the Chamber’s building and adds a fresh visual moment to downtown.
Projects like this give students the chance to create real work for real audiences, and we are proud to see their creativity represented in the city.
Voting is open now through noon on Friday, December 29.
