Modern Students Recognized by National Design Magazine

Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) Magazine named two students from The Modern College of Design, Audrey Albers and Micah Hermiller, to the magazine’s influential 2024 Students to Watch list.

GDUSA, a national graphic design publication, recognized the nation’s top design students in the February 2024 issue. With the help of educators from leading institutions, GDUSA chose 97 undergraduate and graduate students from 50 of America’s most impressive art and design schools.

Audrey Albers discovered her love of graphic design during her junior and senior years of high school. She gains inspiration by exploring new places and enjoys inciting emotion with her creativity. Audrey is a second-year student studying design at the Modern’s Kettering campus and aspires to become a package designer after graduation.

Micah Hermiller is also a second-year student studying design at The Modern. Having spent most of his childhood in Africa, Micah deeply appreciates different cultures and has always been creatively minded. He is inspired by music, passionate about 3D design, and hopes to explore all areas of design after graduation.

Micah and Audrey are active members of The Modern’s 2024 American Advertising Federation National Student Advertising Competition team (NSAC). They are continuing their education at The Modern this year to earn a bachelor’s degree in design leadership.

“I am thrilled that GDUSA Magazine recognized Audrey and Micah for their talent, success, leadership, and influence,” shared Jessica Barry, president of The Modern. “This national recognition is well deserved and will help them expand their professional networks across the globe.”
