Korinne Toadvine Joins The Modern as Chief Academic Officer

[KETTERING, OH, 4/25/19] – The Modern is pleased to announce that Korinne Toadvine has been hired to serve as Chief Academic Officer. Toadvine will begin at the college on July 22, 2019.

In her position, Toadvine will serve as the leading representative to the administration in all academic affairs and ensure The Modern’s educational mission is achieved.  She will supervise all faculty and teach sections of English Composition and Creative Writing.

Toadvine has 14 years of experience in education and is currently serving as principal of Harold Schnell Elementary in West Carrollton. Throughout her career, she has also served as an elementary and middle school language arts and social studies teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. Toadvine earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Ohio University.

“Korinne will be a tremendous asset as she contributes her experience in developing curriculum, coaching, and strategic planning to The Modern,” stated President Jessica Barry. “We look forward to having her on board.”
