The Modern Exceeding Growth Projections for 2019 Enrollment

The Modern College of Design is exceeding its projections for enrollment in its 2019-2020 academic year, with early September numbers surpassing expected enrollments by 50 percent. Since 2012, the college has nearly doubled its enrollment, contributing to the need for its recent campus expansion.

President Jessica Barry commented, “It’s difficult to pinpoint a sole driver behind growth. From what we have learned, this year’s strong start is the mixture of our new brand resonating with students, our local and national recognition as a top design college, and the energy that our faculty and staff are bringing to campus.” “It’s a proud time for our students, our faculty and staff, and Kettering,” added Barry.

The Modern is awarding over $450,000 in institutional scholarships and awards this year to incoming students. The scholarships and awards are based on academic achievement and merit and are awarded on a first come, first served basis. The Modern’s early enrollment deadline is December 31, and its final deadline is July 1, however, space is limited.

The two-year design college is continuing to pursue a Bachelor’s degree completion program in design leadership. This program will provide students with increased options for advancement in their professional careers.
