The Modern College of Design Welcomes New Students, Faculty, and Staff

The Modern College of Design’s spring semester began January 5 with courses offered on campus and online. Students returned with a sense of optimism as they reconnected with classmates and met new faculty and staff members.

Chad has over 20 years of experience in art direction and marketing in environmental, digital, and print design. He has created work for Universal Companies, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, Converse, Cincinnati Reds, Harley Davidson, P&G, and more.

Megan Strong, a 2017 graduate of The Modern, also joined the faculty and teaches online web design courses. She has experience in web design, UX/UI, illustration, marketing, and product design. She has created work for Highlights for Children, Community Church Builder & Pushpay, and works on brands such as ESPN, GE, Coca-Cola, OrangeTheory Fitness, and more.

Sarah McClellan, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, joined the staff and contributes to student success and community engagement. Her work experience includes positions in the service sector and the medical field and working in the Student Affairs department at The Modern.

Students, faculty, and staff follow The Modern Reset 6.0 plan, which focuses on wearing masks and practicing good hygiene.

“The health and wellness of our students, faculty, and staff continue to be our main priority throughout the spring semester,” shared President Jessica Barry. “I am grateful for their cooperation which allows us to offer fully in-person, residential programs.”
