The Modern College of Design Alumni and Faculty Win National Design Awards

Graphic Design USA Magazine (GDUSA) recently notified the winners of the 59th Annual GDUSA Design Awards. Five alums from The Modern College of Design won awards for student projects and professional work. Of the over 10,000 entries received for this year’s competition, GDUSA recognized less than 10 percent as winners. An upcoming issue of GDUSA Magazine that showcases submissions from established professionals to rising newcomers will feature the winning pieces.

American Graphic Design Award recipients include:

• Parker Hess, Graphic Designer, LEAP Group

Bite Toothpaste Student Project

• Olivia Durbin, Freelance Graphic Designer

Lush Retail Student Project

This prominent design publication consistently features student, faculty, and alums’ work from The Modern, and this year was no exception. “We are proud of the fantastic design work that our instructors and students create, and it is rewarding when industry experts share it with the world,” states The Modern College of Design President Jessica Barry.
