The Modern Celebrates Class of 2020 Valedictorians and Honors Graduates

The Modern is proud to announce that six members of the Class of 2020 will be recognized as valedictorians at the Commencement35 ceremony on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at The Masonic Center in Dayton, Ohio. The valedictorians and an additional four graduates will be recognized as graduating with honors.

Valedictorians earned a 4.0 higher grade point average after completing The Modern’s nationally-recognized Associate Degree Program in Design. Honors graduates’ placed in the top ten of their classmates.

The Modern’s Design Program offers challenging mix of creative problem solving, visualization, marketing, and communication curriculum that prepare students for some of the most sought-after positions in the design industry by developing skills in graphic design, web design, UI/UX,  illustration, photography, video and motion design. Modern students often juggle both school and work responsibilities while attending The Modern.

“I am continually impressed by the creativity, intelligence, and persistence exhibited by our students, and especially by our valedictorians and honors graduates this year,” shared Chief Academic Officer Korinne Toadvine. “I know their futures will be filled with challenging and rewarding experiences in the design industry.”
