The Modern Wins “Business of the Year” Award

[KETTERING, OH, 11/8/18] – Tonight at the Dayton Business Journal’s Business of the Year awards program, The Modern College of Design, and its President and Owner, Jessica Barry, won both the Business of the Year and Woman-Owned Business of the Year awards.

In 2018, The Modern successfully completed several major initiatives, including: the unveiling of its $6M capital campus expansion, a rebrand of the institution, and the launch of its first-ever bachelor’s program. The college has added 17 new jobs to the Kettering area this year alone, and expects to add at least 20 more faculty and staff members within the next five years.

President Jessica Barry commented, “This was a historic year for the college, and I am grateful to be recognized among the other honorees and by the Dayton Business Journal. Student success is at the core of every strategic decision we make. Our students deserve to have the best experience on campus, learn relevant curriculum, and then graduate and become successful contributors to the Dayton, and national, design community.”
